After watching this I just had to ask: would anyone consider trying to make the multiplayer mode a standalone romhack?

Problem is, I don't know where to get hold of this early version, or how complete it is.  Hopefully I'm not the only one interested in it.

From what I remember Gideon had enough trouble just getting single player hacked in and working properly - I'm sure it would be possible to create a multiplayer version but it'd take an incredible amount of effort to do.

I remember that, I played it with a friend a few times. It was actually quite fun, I thought. I've not played the translated game, so I was not aware that this mode was not in that version of the rom. I agree, that is quite a shame for it to be missing.

Fay and Miyu should've been the Girls of Starfox and Krystal should've gotten Dinosaur Planet.

Thank you for your time.

Seriously - in the movie industry, wouldn't that be like someone pitching a short to a major company, then having that company transform the short into part of their own movie series, canning the main actor & replacing it with their own, but keeping the heroine & redoing her get up? That's how I always see that.  Poor Sabre. Sad

Yeah, Sabre got shafted just as badly as any of 'em. And Berri can't catch any luck. Pissed me off to see who they called "Berri" in Conker's BFD; pissed me off even more when I found out they not only killed her off in extraordinarily mean-spirited fashion, they even let Conker miss his chance to bring her back. No wonder the original ending for BFD was going to have him blow his own brains out; the whole story of what happened to Twelve Tales is just so damn depressing.

Anything is possible... However, at some point it's just "easier" to make a new game from scratch... I'm thinking this is one of those situations...

Doing a Star Fox multiplayer game on Flash or Game Maker would be kinda difficult. Then again, it's not like the SNES was ideal for 3D game development.

BTW, you guys do know that, if all you want to do is play SF with a friend, you can play the N64 one? Unless there's something gigantically different between the two.

Have you ever played Starfox 2?

I know we don't ask for roms here, so realistically: are they out there? Because I can't find them. Oh, & which version am I looking for? I have the impression there's lots of them out there for the early betas.

It's out there, but seems to be very glitchy.
